The Association of Group Travel Organisers (AGTO) Board Director, David Steele, (pictured centre) was named winner of the UK Coach Awards ‘Services to the Coach Industry’ award at a glittering event attended by over 200 people at the Mecure Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester.
The award recognised his campaigning work for coach tourism over a career dating back more than 40 years. The ceremony was hosted by BBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood and the awards were presented by Ian Luckett, chair of the CPT Coach Commission, (pictured right) the industry trade association. David said: “I am overwhelmed to have received this recognition that reflects the great co-operation and professionalism that exists between coach operators and group organisers.”
